Annual Club Membership Fees
Currently suspended and under review.
Swim England Registration Fees
Club Train (formerly Category 1) – Non-competitive, generally those under 9 or in AZ/Masters: £17.50
Club Compete (formerly Category 2) – Competitive members, i.e. most members aged 9 or over: £38.00
Club Support (formerly Category 3) – Committee members, officials and helpers of the club who do not swim: £13.50
All swimmers are required to pay an annual fee to the Amateur Swimming Association. These fees are compulsory, set by Swim England and given in full to Swim England. They are subject to change by Swim England and include both National and Regional fees. The fees are insurance costs to cover the swimmer whilst they are part of this club and Swim England. This fee must be paid to Swim England before the end of February and so must be collected by the club before then. Please note that the club makes a single payment to Swim England for the whole club and so cheques should be made payable to Tynedale Swimming Club.

Payment Methods
Swimming fees are payable monthly by standing order at the beginning of each month. For convenience the annual swimming fees are divided into 12 equal monthly payments. Fees are payable in full irrespective of whether the swimmer attends every session or not.
The club’s account details are available upon request. Please ensure that you reference the payment with your child’s name so that we can record it correctly.
Swim England fees may be paid by bank transfer, cheque or cash – cheques should be made payable to Tynedale Amateur Swimming Club.
Payment of Fees Upon Joining
The membership and Swim England registration fees together with the first month’s swimming fees must be paid by cheque immediately upon joining the club. A standing order must be set up for the monthly fees before the second month’s fees are due. Any standing orders not set up by the third month after joining will result in the swimmer being removed from the list of members and not being permitted to swim.
Alteration to Standing Order Amount Upon Change of Squad
Please make sure you continue to pay the correct amount, especially upon changing squads. Please note that the club will require you to pay any back-dated amounts owing should you fail to amend your standing order on time.
Non-Payment of Fees
Failure to pay the appropriate fees on time will result in the swimmer being removed from the list of members and not being permitted to swim. The club is a non-profit making organisation so prompt payment of fees is essential to keep the club afloat! Collecting fees can be difficult and time-consuming so please help by paying these amounts as soon as you receive a request to do so. Remember that the person asking you is going to be an unpaid volunteer, giving up their own time for the benefit of the club. If you have a query please contact the Committee rather than waiting until you are approached to find out why you haven’t paid.
Financial Hardship
Please let us know in your inquiry form, application form or by email whether you would be interested in a discussion about what financial support the club may be able to offer with regard to membership fees and equipment and competition costs.
